With your constantly busy and hectic 24/7 life-style it’s sometimes easy to forget the importance of simply being able to stop and relax. You may struggle with stress and feel it manifesting itself in a variety of ways – from insomnia through to being tetchy.
Duncan Little, a fully qualified and insured hypnotherapy practitioner, based at The Observatory Practice, Plymouth, says they can help you to relax and so reduce the troubling symptoms of stress.
“My training is in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy,” explains Duncan. “It means we are focused on positive outcomes over the course of a number of sessions and, as such, we can help someone reduce their stress bucket levels.”
Hypnosis is used as part of the session and is a simple technique which allows the client to enter into a state of relaxation and provide them with the opportunity to let go of stress and tension.
“We tend to find a number of sessions can really make a difference for some people. We also provide them with a free relaxation CD during the initial consultation. The disc is also useful as it allows people to be able to experience the same comforting, relaxing sensations in the comfort of their home.”
Solution Focused Hypnotherapy uses proven research in brain based research to achieve excellent results for clients seeking to ease stress or improve their performance in the office, in sport or in their day to day life.
Duncan was awarded the Hypnotherapy Practitioner’s Diploma (HPD) following extensive training as part of the Clifton Practice Hypnotherapy Training course.
He is a member of the Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (AfSFH) which ensures its members are qualified and adhere to a strong ethical code.
Solution Focused Hypnotherapy can also be used to help improve sleep, aid in weight management, reduce phobias and fears and help people to stop smoking.
